The multinational Ball Corporation has announced new plans in the USA. It has now set out to build a new aluminum beverage packaging plant in North Las Vegas, Nevada, to support the long-term growth of strategic customers.

According to Kathleen Pitre , president of Ball’s North and Central America beverage packaging business, “Our new North Las Vegas facility is Ball’s latest investment to meet the growing demand for our portfolio of infinitely recyclable aluminum containers.” She added, “The new facility is backed by numerous long-term contracts for committed volume with our global strategic partners and regional customers. It will also enable us to meet the needs of customers and consumers for more sustainable aluminium beverage containers while furthering our Drive for 10 vision.

Ball chose the North Las Vegas location because of its proximity to customers’ can filling investments, increasing regional demand, existing infrastructure, regional labor base and cooperation from state and local officials.

The international company plans to invest nearly $290 million in its North Las Vegas facility over several years. The multi-line plant is scheduled to begin production in late 2022 and is expected to create nearly 180 manufacturing jobs when at full capacity.
