The toggle lever is used on a bodymaker machine to change the machine stroke on a double stroke machine. To change the stroke of the machine, it is necessary to make changes to the swing lever configuration. The primary connecting rod sleeve is centered on the pivot lever by means of a pivot pin and secured with a locknut tensioner.

The pivot lever has a locating hole above and below the pivot pin, and by rotating the sleeve to reposition the locating hole in the sleeve in line with either of these holes, you can adjust the pivot lever for a different machine stroke.

Remember to follow the correct procedure and ensure that personnel are aware of what is intended and are clear of the machine.
