CBS (Cma Brewery Systems), a Spanish company dedicated to the design, construction and installation of machinery for brewing beer, recently launched a new generation filling machine on the market: a mixed isobaric filler that allows working with both bottles and cans.

“It is the first of its kind on the market,” explained CBS representatives in a press release. “This new, patented filling system allows a microbrewery to have both conventional packaging formats in a single machine, thus saving space and money”.

Not only this, the new packaging machine can be continuously networked so it can receive software updates and remote help.

The packaging system is different from other packaging systems on the market, which oxygenate the beer, as explained in the press release.

̏The developed technology performs the bottling/canning process by first applying vacuum to remove air from the container, followed by CO2 purging, pressurizing, back pressure filling and depressurizing.

Commercially available models are 1, 2, 4 and 6 filling heads. All 4-head and 6-head fillers can be operated (on request only) automatically by installing an automaton in the control panel.

The machinery produced by CBS also includes brewhouses, fermenters, holding tanks, isobaric bottle fillers, isobaric can fillers, isobaric steel keg fillers, keg and bottle washers, among others.
