Latamcan has announced a new congress to be held May 21-23 at the Bourbon Atibaia Resort in the state of São Paulo, Brazil.

Sources from the organization have informed that the technical program is almost finalized and will focus on innovation, sustainability and packaging design.

Sun Chemical will offer a presentation entitled “Closing the Circle: Total Ink and Color Control” by Eduardo Alegria. CINBAL will focus on  “Technology and Innovation Used in the Lithography Process”, explained by Eduardo Louver. SPG PRINTS, will address the topic “Optimization of can printing and strategies for photorealistic printing”, with Josef Schuetzenberger as speaker.

Michele Ventorre of BORTOLIN KEMO will address “Developments and Transformations in Eco-Sustainable Metal Packaging”, while FLEXWARE INNOVATION will address another topic of interest as Using Overall Equipment Effectiveness AND Metrics to Drive Productivity, Cost Savings and Continuous Improvement”. The speakers for this paper will be Steve Klabak and Ashley Hooley.

The INNOSEN brand will discuss the possibility of using “Smart Sensors: The Smart Solution for Quality Inspection Without Cameras”. Chris Karpovich of IPS will speak on “Innovation Supporting Excellence in Can Manufacturing”. PRESSCO (a Kestrel Vision Company) will offer its “Data-Driven Solutions to Increase Productivity” (Oscar Gomes)

STOLLE and PNEUMOFORE contribute papers on sustainability (Chris Zagrodniche and reducing energy costs through pneumatic efficiency (Rolf Hilfiker). WALLRAM, SACMI, BELVAC, SPECMETRIX and INX will also participate.
