In 2022, Baofeng quickly embarked on its second ten-year development plan and began construction of a second large-scale open-easy lid production plant in early June. This new plant is located in Hanchuan City, Hubei Province, a strategically important and economically prosperous area in central China.
With an investment of close to $180 million, the design and layout of the new plant is very much in line with the successful model implemented at the Xiamen plant. . Covering 265 acres, the new plant has an annual production capacity of 20 billion parts. As a result, Baofeng expects its total annual production capacity to exceed 60 billion terminals.
Thanks to its advantageous location, the Hubei plant will facilitate greater efficiency in supplying and serving customers in central, southwest and northwest China, as well as other regions, through improved transportation and supply chain optimization. In addition, this expansion effectively responds to the growing demand for closures from expanding can makers in these areas.
Seizing this opportunity, the Xiamen plant will strategically adjust and optimize its product structure in line with market demands. In particular, greater attention will be given to the increasement of production lines for 202CDL and 200CDL capacities. Taking advantage of its superior proximity to the seaport, the Xiamen plant will continue to expand its supply to the overseas market.
The company operates in the easy-open aluminum terminal sector and specializes in research and development, production, processing and sales. With an area of 400 acres and building space exceeding 200,000 square meters, the company has a staff of more than 1,500 dedicated employees.
Xiamen Baofeng Group focuses primarily on the manufacture of high-quality 2-piece Can Ends, specifically sizes 200 and 202 available in B64 and CDL variants. In addition, the company also produces 3-piece can ends in sizes 113, 200, 206, 209 FA and BE. These versatile can ends meet a wide range of packaging needs, such as beer, mineral water, carbonated beverages, coffee, juice, energy drinks and certain types of food.
