Metal Packaging Europe (MPE) brought together leading representatives of the European Commission and the European Parliament at its annual conference held on June 13-14 in Amsterdam.
The MPE Conference policy session, moderated by Dave Keating, was one of the highlights of this year’s event. Sources from the organization said it was inspiring to hear European authorities as well as NGOs and industry recognize the importance of circular packaging materials, such as rigid metal, in achieving a sustainable future for the EU.
This year’s panelists: Maja Desgreses du Lou, Marco Musso, Monika Romenska, Cyrus Engerer (He), Erik Haverkort and Paulo Sousa addressed the challenges and opportunities for the rigid metal packaging sector. MPE appreciates the great opportunity of this necessary meeting at a decisive moment for the sector, especially in view of the great environmental challenges ahead.
