We are hallucinating with this trick! TikTok’s latest discovery for perfect curls involves using a soda can and it really works.
Tik Tok is full of tricks for curling hair using everyday objects such as a colander or a sweatshirt. This time we saw the hashtag #cancurls trending on TikTok and we thought we would see people wrapping their hair around soda cans in the same way Lady Gaga did in her Telephone music video; however, we found out that this technique was a bit easier and with better results.
While researching the hashtag used on social networks, we came across something unexpected: people heating their hair with a blow dryer to create the perfect curls after putting it inside soda cans. Jonathan Monroe was one of the first users to publish his experiment and the result was very impressive, achieving curls straight out of the hairdresser’s shop.
If someone wishes to perform this technique at home, they should take an empty aluminum can, remove the top lid using a can opener to avoid cutting or tangling their hair and make sure to wash it well so as not to leave any residue that could mess up your hair.
Divide the sections of your hair and take a small strand from the front. Insert the hair into the can before turning on the dryer. Direct the heat directly on the container for thirty seconds. When you feel that the can is too hot to hold, stop applying heat.
When you have finished you will see the results: curly hair with great elasticity and softness. In addition, the texture of your new style will be much more natural than that achieved with curling irons. Would you like to try it?
