IMDPA announced the winner of the Innovation Award. This award is given to an innovative product seen as an advanced new method in the metal decorating business. This year Canimal, with its innovation, the Zombie Can, won the award. This new aluminum coating process gives new life to printed cans.
This competition for excellence in quality recognizes skillful achievement in the metal decorating and packaging industry. The competition has nine categories, and the award-winning pieces not only provide evidence of significant achievements in quality, but also gain worldwide recognition and coverage through a number of avenues.
As one of the oldest and most prestigious annual metal decorating competitions, its mission is to honor outstanding companies that have made exceptional quality and precise consistency their mission in the pursuit of decorating and packaging excellence. Judges consider and evaluate the quality of the print, the degree of difficulty, the appearance of the coating finishes, the registration and the technical expertise required for each piece.
