UK-based Liverpool Packaging has just won the MPMA’s ‘Best in Metal’ award for its Lick Home paint can design. This is the first award it has won for best metal product and follows a win for Metal Packaging of the Year, Promotional, Decorative and General Line at the UK Packaging Awards.
Liverpool Packaging stepped forward with a cleverly created can body to come up with a pack that met the size and functionality to pour and apply straight from the can. “This is an exciting and innovative new direction for paint cans,” notes Robert Fell, director and CEO of MPMA.
The ‘Best in Metal’ award was collected by Geoff Courtney, head of sales UK & Ireland, Liverpool Packaging, from MPMA chairman Aidan Ruddocken at the MPMA’s annual council meeting on 24 November.
