Ball Corporation’s New Aluminum Can Plant in Europe

Growing consumer demand for sustainable and recyclable beverage packaging has been excuse enough for Ball Corporation, a leading manufacturer of recyclable aluminum packaging, to announce the construction of a new plant in Pilsen Digital Park (Czech Republic) in the spring of 2021.

“This new plant is the next step in our commitment to the Czech Republic. In the Pilsen region, we know we can find a skilled workforce close to our key customers, who will continue to benefit from our state-of-the-art production processes, our commitment to the environment and high quality, sustainable beverage packaging,” said Carey Causey, managing director of Ball Beverage Packaging EMEA.

Gerhard Mayer, Vice President of Operations at Ball Beverage Packaging EMEA, said they plan to “install the sophisticated automated equipment at the plant, taking advantage of the latest modern technologies to minimize environmental impact and reinforce our recent commitment to 100% renewable energy to cover our operations in Europe”.
