The Argentine distillery Aconcagua has just revolutionized the beverage industry by launching a gin and tonic in a 355 ml aluminum bottle produced by Trivium Packaging.

With an eye-catching and neat packaging, the metallic packaging design features the unmistakable silhouette of the highest mountain in America, Mount Aconcagua, in the Andes. The brand has appreciated the increasing demand for this type of packaging due to its numerous advantages of being sustainable and at the same time guaranteeing greater protection of the products inside, as well as its infinite recyclability.

Precisely, the gin and tonic has for some time become one of the favorite cocktails in bars around the world and one of the most prepared at home. Along with this growing trend in consumption, the furor for the production of this distillate was uncovered locally, adding new national brands at a dizzying pace, which are also winning prizes abroad. Also new formats that focus the attention of consumers in the face of stiff competition in distribution channels.

“It’s a trend that came and an activity that is settling in to stay. You are going to see actors who are not going to be able to stay at the end. It is similar to what happened with craft beer. Those who started with good equipment and technique from the beginning were able to overcome the crisis. The nice thing is that an activity is emerging in Argentina that was unthinkable 20 years ago when we started”, says Walter Hilbing, president of one of the pioneer distilleries, which bears his surname and is located in Mendoza.
