Matt Crocker, director of Berrington Water and co-founder of Re:Water, said: “We are proud to supply the G7.(…) The government often talks about targets: reducing carbon emissions, moving to net zero, reducing single-use plastics. Re:Water does all that. It reduces single-use packaging, plastics and carbon emissions.

He added: “First of all, we wanted something really green. There are quite a few options that, when you scratch the surface, are no better. Secondly, consumers have to like it. And finally, it has to be commercially viable. What we came up with seems so simple, but it took three years to get to market.

The lightweight aluminium bottle and aluminium cap are 100% recyclable.

Re:Water is made from 100% recycled aluminium. This means that it requires up to 95% less energy to produce than standard aluminium bottles and cans.

Aluminium is one of the most recycled materials in the world, with 75% of all aluminium produced still in circulation today. The company says, “Our Re:Water bottle is infinitely recyclable. In addition, the aluminium bottle keeps the water cooler and fresher for longer and can be reused by the consumer”.
