Wildpack Beverage Inc. has updated its corporate data and announced record monthly orders, up 9.1% from the highest historical month on record. In addition, the order backlog increased 23.3% month-over-month with a January can throughput of 9.4 million cans.

For Mitch Barnard, CEO of the company, this is quite an achievement. “I am pleased with the achievement of key performance indicators in January that has led to the strategic results we have set for Wildpack over a 1-, 3- and 5-year horizon. Leadership continues to be impressed with our team’s ability to meet high expectations, delivering fast turnaround times with great quality,” he adds.

According to the company, January can throughput was 9.4 million cans. “This meets management’s planned accelerated utilization to achieve a 300 million can throughput this year. The Las Vegas in-house printing operations reached a commercial level and now produce many of the sleeves and labels consumed by our operations. As theorized and realized, this has increased our operations’ ability to reduce lead times and overall costs; providing the sales team with a new competitive advantage to win more business,” he notes.

They further explain that the new landfills for Baltimore and Las Vegas are high-level upgrades to existing assets, the installation of which causes no disruption to production, which management believes will increase production and yields at those facilities.

The company has moved forward with its modernization strategy to implement a B2B paperless digital portal. It has also enhanced its Technology division with an in-house development team that has increased productivity, reporting, efficiency and reduced costs associated with the implementation of the technology strategy.

Wildpack Beverage has also initiated a project to build a web-based mobile application for the customer. This will improve the accessibility of the current web portal with beta testing beginning in the second half of 2022, which will help the company remain a technology leader in the beverage manufacturing space, better aligning services with customer expectations in the digital age.
