The Minister of Industry and Tourism of the Spanish Government, Jordi Hereu, announced 11 million in aid for the electrointensive sector and emphasized the need to strengthen industry as a pillar of growth and employment.

At this forum, the Industrial Competitiveness Report 2025 was presented, revealing challenges such as the lack of technological financing and shortage of qualified personnel. Sector leaders called for less bureaucracy, more investment in innovation, and training adapted to the real needs of the market.

Additionally, the Talent Marketplace was launched, an initiative to connect young people with job opportunities in the industrial sector. In total, 639 companies participated, presenting more than 1,400 innovations in automation, AI, IoT, 3D printing, and energy efficiency. With over 400 speakers, the congress reaffirmed Barcelona as a European reference in Industry 4.0.
