Top Cap Holding and IMV Innovation Marketing und Vertriebs have signed a licensing agreement granting Top Cap the exclusive use of the ‘SpinClip’ technology for resealable beverage can lids in its target markets. This technology, based on a simple rotating rivet mechanism, expands Top Cap’s portfolio, which already includes the innovative resealable lid ‘the click cap’, scheduled for mass production in 2026.

Robert Jansen, CEO of Top Cap Holding, emphasized that the acquisition of the global license represents a strategic milestone: “Expanding our offering positions us as a leading provider of innovative and resealable solutions for different beverage segments. We will develop ‘SpinClip’ as a market-ready product, leveraging our experience with ‘the click cap’.”

The demand for resealable cans responds to a genuine consumer interest: 76% of respondents prefer cans that can be closed again. These lids also protect the contents from accidental spills, insects, or potential tampering with the beverage. According to Top Cap, both ‘the click cap’ and ‘SpinClip’ offer a safe, convenient, and worry-free consumption experience.
