The TFS material reacts to the copper sulfate test ?

TFS (Tin Free Steel) is a type of steel coated with a layer of chromium instead of tin. The copper sulfate test is mainly used to evaluate the quality and continuity of the varnish coating on metal cans and containers.

In the case of TFS material, if a varnish is applied to the surface and the copper sulfate test is performed, the reaction will be a function of the quality of the varnish and not the TFS material itself. If the varnish is well applied and has no discontinuities, the TFS should not react with the copper sulfate solution. If there are discontinuities in the varnish layer, the copper sulfate solution may react with the exposed material, indicating a problem in the protection provided by the varnish.
