The Olymp Taste Awards are the most important recognition in Greece for artisanal food producers in the delicatessen segment.
Conservas Catalina has just won top honors in the anchovy category at the Greek Olymp Awards food awards. Specifically, the Reserva anchovies have obtained the highest award: platinum and the Premium and Smoked anchovies have obtained the Gold seal. This recognition is added to the one achieved this May: the best anchovy at the Anchovy Guild Tasting at the Cantabria Anchovy and Canned Food Fair.
The Olymp Taste Awards are the most important recognition in Greece for artisanal food producers in the delicatessen segment, where the taste, texture, properties and aesthetics of all participating products are evaluated, including many honeys from different parts of Europe. The competition is composed of a jury of 21 top chefs from Greece headed by Constantinos Mouzakis, Chef Europe 2015 and president of the Acropolis-Chef’s Club of Attica, using the “blind” method for tasting the products, without packaging and without any visible distinguishing features, where each judge performs an organoleptic analysis of the products they taste based on criteria of smell, texture, taste and sensation.
