In the personal care industry had the greatest impact on production volume, reaching 74% of the total compared to 71% in 2022. This is considered a key part of aerosol manufacturing in the United Kingdom, with 3% growth in cosmetics and toiletries.

Household
COVID has had a negative impact on the household products market, with a decrease in the production of surface cleaners and air fresheners in the United Kingdom. This is due, in part, to a major change in the leading brand that now offers “aerosol-free” products.
In Heskins’ words, despite the wide variety of home fragrance options, the spray is still a popular choice in the market, however, its use may need to be reviewed in the future.

Paint sprays have experienced steady growth in technical categories since the turn of the century. Although there has also been an increase in aerosol filling volumes for automotive and industrial use.

The year 2023 had a significant change in aerosol production data compared to 2022. In this new year, a total of 1.42 billion units were produced, with 543 million manufactured with tinplate and the remaining 877 million with aluminum. This represents a 62% split for tinplate and 38% for aluminum.
