SPANISH BEMASA CAPS CONTINUES TO GROW WORLDWIDE

The company Bemasa Caps, specializing in the manufacture and marketing of caps and packaging machinery based in the Region of Murcia, continues to experience unstoppable growth this year. Since announcing the opening of its factory in Cairo (Egypt) in January 2016, demand in North Africa has been growing exponentially. This is what the company says, where they point out that “from Egypt we produce different formats of easy-opening lids (99.73 and 52 millimetres), so that from this factory we are able to respond to these requirements”. Its subsidiary in Egypt has seen its growth and internationalization process consolidated and has become a reference in its sector.

“The confinement and temporary closure of bars and restaurants has meant that part of food consumption has shifted to the supermarket and, in particular, to quality products, many of them packaged in glass with twist-off lids”, says Ernesto García-Balibrea, general manager of Bemasa Caps S.A. “This has been possible thanks to our team, who have been able to respond with solidarity and professionalism in a difficult year for all of us. We have faced this stage giving the best service to the market at a time when it was most needed”.

In addition, the increase in sales of the twist top business line has accounted for an important part of the turnover, the company adds. Bemasa Caps has reinforced this 2021 its area of easy opening as well as the export to the markets of Africa, America and the rest of Europe.

This information supports the good data of the company, which increased its turnover by 12.9% in 2020. In addition, the company from Murcia closed last year with sales of 31.8 million euros.

Founded in 1990 and based in Molina de Segura, Bemasa Caps is specialized in the production of caps-twist® and easy open caps, as well as capping machines and vacuum detectors, all of them with an important presence in national and international markets. The company currently employs 170 people at its factory in Molina de Segura (Murcia). From here, more than 900 million of its different formats of tapas are distributed to different parts of Spain and the rest of the world, as 45% of its production is exported.
