THE MURCIAN COMPANY CLOSED LAST YEAR WITH SALES OF 31.8 MILLION EUROS, ALMOST 13% MORE THAN THE PREVIOUS YEAR THE EXPORT PERCENTAGE NOW STANDS AT 45%.

Bemasa Caps S.A., a Spanish company specialising in the manufacture and marketing of caps and packaging machinery, closed the 2020 financial year with a turnover of 31.8 million euros, representing a growth of 12.9% over the previous year.

The company’s response to the pandemic-driven demand to supply the market resulted, among other things, in sales growth of nearly 13% over 2019.

“The confinement and temporary closure of bars and restaurants has caused part of the food consumption to go to the supermarket and, in particular, to quality products, many of them packaged in glass with twist-off lids,” says Ernesto García-Balibrea, general manager of Bemasa Caps S.A., who explains the increase in demand and how they have managed to respond. “This has been possible thanks to our team, who have responded with solidarity and professionalism in a difficult year for all of us. We have faced this stage by providing the best service to the market at a time when it was most needed”.

On the other hand, the increase in sales of the twist top business line has accounted for an important part of the 2021 turnover: objectives and new challenges.

For the present year, Bemasa Caps plans to reinforce its Easy Opening area and to continue working on exports to the markets of Africa, America and the rest of Europe.

Headquartered in Molina de Segura, Bemasa Caps also has a subsidiary in Egypt, which consolidates its growth and internationalization process and has led it to become a reference in its sector.
