Austrian beverage companies Red Bull and Rauch will jointly build a $740 million manufacturing, canning and distribution center in North Carolina, United States.
The two Austrian-based companies plan, through their subsidiaries in the U.S., to create the production center on the site of the now-closed Philip Morris cigarette manufacturing plant in Concord, according to state officials.
The project, a Red Bull regional distribution center and can filling facility operated by Rauch and a Rauch-Red Bull joint venture, will mean an investment of more than $740 million in Concord by 2027.
The center will include Red Bull’s 800,000-square-foot regional distribution center and 1.4 million square feet of factory, distribution and office space for Rauch North America’s can-filling operation.
