The winners of the IV edition of this year’s ‘Anfaco-Banco Sabadell Foundation Design Award’ have been announced and have gone to the designers Pablo Fernández Torrado and Alberto Guerrero Álvarez from Extremadura.
This design will later be used to fill the cans used in the campaign to promote the consumption of canned fish and seafood, called ‘Cata la Lata’ (Can the Can), for one year.
More than 120 participants under 35 years of age, of different nationalities, who are studying or have studied at one of the Design Schools in Spain, have entered the competition. From among the candidates submitted, a jury of renowned industry professionals selected the finalists and winners.
The winners, Pablo and Alberto, are graphic designers recently graduated from the Graphic Design Degree at the EASD Mérida. Both are currently in search of new projects, clients and design agencies, to carve a name and path, prioritizing the effort and love in each of their creations. From an early age, these graphic arts and illustration enthusiasts have been developing their skills in the world of art and design: Pablo, an experienced illustrator, also has a degree in Arts and Crafts Studies from the Adelardo Covarsí School (Badajoz); Alberto, since last year, has specialized in Branding with his Master’s Degree in Challenging Branding at LABASAD (Barcelona).
The Banco Sabadell Foundation and the National Association of Canned Fish Manufacturers, Anfaco-Cecopesca, have launched this new edition with the aim of recognizing and encouraging the creative talent of designers under 35 years of age by creating a packaging design and thus advancing innovation in market packaging in the canned fish and seafood industry.
