Pakistan Aluminium Beverage Cans Limited (PABC) has announced its plans to build a new beverage can production plant in Afghanistan, a state-of-the-art facility that will involve an estimated investment of $110 million. The company anticipates that the new complex will reach an annual capacity of around 1.3 billion units, marking one of the biggest milestones in its regional expansion strategy.
The project seeks to strengthen supply chains in Central Asia, improve service reliability, and shorten delivery times for the company’s customers. In addition, PABC highlights that the future plant will expand the supply of sustainable packaging and contribute to the industrial and economic development of a growing market.
The initiative is still pending the corresponding regulatory approvals. The company confirmed that it will offer new updates as the process advances and reiterated its commitment to generating long-term value for its customers, partners, and communities where it operates.
