NÜTRL Mango is Anheuser-Busch’s new vodka-based seltzer with simple ingredients including vodka, seltzer and real juice and is marketed throughout the United States. In addition to its national expansion, NÜTRL’s new Mango flavor will join the NUTRL family along with pineapple, watermelon and raspberry. With only 100 calories and an ABV of 4.5%, NÜTRL contains no gluten and no added sugars.
This new launch underscores Anheuser-Busch’s commitment to creating new and exciting innovations that leverage its core capabilities to accelerate growth in the ready-to-drink spirits category. With brands such as NÜTRL, Cutwater Spirits, BABE Wine and more, Anheuser-Busch is an industry leader in innovation.
Anheuser-Busch is one of the largest companies in the beer market. The brand’s parent company (ABI) accumulated nearly US$47 billion in sales last year. As ready-to-drink beverages have become the fastest growing alcoholic beverage category in the U.S., the company is looking to expand its share of the alcoholic beverage business with its latest addition to the category.
In the past year alone, more than 181 seltzers were introduced into the increasingly saturated product category. However, with each new addition to the seltzer market, the category continues to adapt to consumer preferences. Note that more than half of U.S. consumers prefer vodka as the base for their ready-to-drink beverages, a determining factor in NÜTRL’s decision to create its recipe with vodka as a core element.
