In commemoration of National Recycling Day, which was celebrated on November 15, Belvac is showing its support for the transition to a more sustainable and environmentally friendly future by launching its new bottle with carrier ring.
Each year, it is estimated that nearly 10 million tons of plastic waste end up in the oceans. It is believed that by 2050, there will be more plastic pollution than fish in our seas. The enormous amount of plastic waste is causing irreparable damage to the environment and, despite this, plastic packaging remains the most popular choice.
Belvac made the decision to implement changes in its business. They have created an aluminum bottle with an integrated carrying ring that is more environmentally sustainable. This lightweight bottle can be used as a direct alternative to PET bottles, as it can be filled on the same production lines without the need to invest a lot of capital.
An increasingly popular packaging option for brands is the aluminum bottle, as it is lightweight and 100% recyclable. In addition, their transition to this type of packaging means lower costs for companies. In addition, these bottles are easily adapted to the existing infrastructure in the industry.
The inclusion of a carrier ring allows the filling of aluminum bottles on the existing PET production line. With minimal capital investment, it is possible to use carrier ring technology on existing PET filling lines. This technology allows aluminum bottles to be filled on these lines, thanks to their formation during the neck stage in the bottle can manufacturing system developed by Belvac.
