Mattoni 1873 has recently introduced a state-of-the-art KHS canning line, making it the first mineral water brand in the Czech Republic to be packaged in recyclable cans. The cans are made of up to 70% recycled aluminum.

The new KHS line features the Innofill Can C filler, capable of processing up to 20,000 cans per hour. It also includes a palletizer, a depalletizer, a mixing system, a tunnel pasteurizer and two shrink packers, with and without trays.

Under the ownership of the Pasquale family of Italy since 1991, Mattoni 1873, as the brand is now called, is the largest distributor of soft drinks in Central Europe, with production plants in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Bulgaria, Austria and Serbia. The company attaches great importance to tradition: in Kyselka, three dilapidated buildings have been restored with care and attention to detail, in accordance with guidelines on the preservation of historical monuments. One of them houses the Mattoni Museum. Another, the Hotel Praha, dating from the 19th century, is now used as offices for the company’s IT department. Just as Mattoni 1873 has merged the old with the new here, the company presents itself in an extremely modern way while remaining loyal to its history, investing more than 40 million euros in cutting-edge technology in its various plants in the last three years alone.
