Once again Latamcan announced the winners of the 2023 Lifetime Achievement Award, which this year went to professionals Martha Rojas and Teresa Ramos.
In Rojas’ case, he has worked with many of the major players in the metal packaging industry transporting can manufacturing lines, raw materials, spare parts and finished products around the world over the past 30 years. In 2020, she moved to Good Logistics as executive vice president, USA.


In addition to her roles in shipping more than 200 can lines worldwide, she has been active in several industry affiliations. Rojas was a member of the National Export Traffic League of New York, Women’s Traffic Club of New York, Foreign Trade Club of the New York Board of Governors, National Association of Customs Brokers and Forwarders of America, IMDA and more.


Martha has built a reputation over the years as a reliable and dedicated professional, knowledgeable in planning projects down to the smallest detail. Always up for a challenge and willing to go the extra mile for her clients, she has done business and traveled to Third World and developing countries, even in times of political instability. Her energy, experience and passion have endeared her to many of the largest can manufacturers and suppliers, who consider her a trusted partner.


Teresa Ramos has a B.S. in Pharmacy, a B.S. in Chemistry and a Ph.D. in Pharmacy. She currently holds the position of general manager of the Spanish company La Artística, as R&D chemist in the field of water-based can sealing compounds. This was her first contact with the canning industry and she really got caught up in the exciting world of canning.


In addition to her role as MD, she has held other global executive roles under the ACTEGA packaging division, specifically as global director of sealants, with manufacturing plants in Vigo, Spain, Sao Paulo, Brazil and New Jersey, USA. Today, she is global market manager for cans, as well as vice president of strategic accounts.
