In the Middle East, Saudi Arabia’s Ma’aden Mining Company has teamed up with Hexagon to create the region’s first digital mine. This alliance was recently announced by both companies.

At the Mansoura Massarah mine, Hexagon’s technology solutions are being successfully used to improve mine life. These solutions combine sensors, software and autonomous technologies to increase efficiency, productivity, quality and safety in all mining activities.
According to Duncan Bradford, Ma’aden’s Executive Vice President of Base Metals and New Metals, the collaboration with Hexagon aligns with its digitalization strategy to improve safety and efficiency in its mining operations. Together, they hope to implement and utilize the first digital mine in the region to further enhance Mansourah Massara’s operations.
