Wilkes-Barre, PA-based Lion Beverage has decided to commit to expanding its manufacturing capacity with a new beverage canning plant in Pennsylvania. The 250,000-square-foot facility based in Pittston, PA will have an initial investment of $25 million. Specifically, the new facility will feature two new state-of-the-art beverage canning lines, storage space and a repackaging area with production planned to begin in early 2023.

Operated by The Lion Brewery, one of the oldest continuously operating breweries in the Northeast, Lion Beverage draws on a rich brewing tradition to produce award-winning beers, soft drinks, malts, energy drinks, sodas and more.

This is not the first time the brewer has made a similar investment. Since 2017, Lion Beverage has spent more than $25 million on new equipment and manufacturing upgrades, making it one of the most efficient contract packaging resources in the northeastern U.S.
