Lindal Group, a world leader in the creation and sale of specialized aerosol valves, actuators and caps, has decided to join other major members of the UK aerosol recycling initiative as a financial partner.
Alupro led the launch of an aerosol recycling initiative in the UK in 2022, with the main objective of increasing awareness and acceptance of aerosol recycling across the country. With a 50% recycling rate expected to be achieved by 2030, the initiative has brought together leading companies and influencers across the aerosol supply chain to promote positive change at a national level.
Lindal Group, as a funding partner, will contribute to the initiative’s feasibility studies, data collection activities, pilot projects and consumer engagement campaigns.
For his part, Thuy-Tien Nguyen, who is sustainability manager at Lindal Group, expressed his excitement at joining the UK Aerosol Recycling Initiative as a financial partner. As one of the world’s leading suppliers in the aerosol supply chain, they are aware of the challenges that exist in the recycling of these products and the importance of raising awareness and increasing acceptance.
“Programs like this are essential to better understand consumer behaviors, address barriers and drive further improvements. The initiative has already made significant progress and delivered impressive results. We look forward to supporting its future trajectory and accelerating national change.”
Nguyen added.
Alupro’s managing director, Tom Giddings, emphasized the importance of Lindal Group’s support in achieving the main goals of the UK Aerosol Recycling Initiative: “Having the backing of Lindal Group will be critical to achieving the three main ambitions of the UK Aerosol Recycling Initiative: inspiring change, embracing a sustainable future and driving further progress towards a 50% aerosol recycling rate by 2030. We have big plans for the future and, with the support of our partners, we will continue to inspire a national increase in aluminum packaging recycling rates.”
