Lindal Group, a leading designer, manufacturer and marketer of specialized spray valves, actuators and caps used in aerosol products, has joined other key members of the UK Aerosol Recycling Initiative as a funding partner.

This initiative, spearheaded by Alupro, was launched in 2022 with the aim of increasing awareness and uptake of aerosol recycling across the UK. In this way it seeks to achieve a 50% recycling rate by 2030, bringing together leading companies and influencers from across the aerosol supply chain to inspire positive national change.

In its role as a funding partner, Lindal Group will contribute to accelerating the initiative’s feasibility studies, data collection activities, pilot programs and consumer engagement campaigns.

Thuy-Tien Nguyen, global sustainability manager of Lindal Group, expressed his enthusiasm for joining the initiative: “As a leading supplier to the global aerosol supply chain, we are aware of the challenges surrounding aerosol recycling and the imperative to raise awareness and increase uptake. Programs such as this are essential to better understand consumer behaviors, address barriers and drive further improvements. The initiative has already made significant progress and delivered impressive results. We look forward to supporting its future trajectory and accelerating national change.”

For his part, Tom Giddings, managing director of Alupro, highlighted the importance of Lindal Group’s support in achieving the three main ambitions of the UK Aerosol Recycling Initiative. “Inspiring change, embracing a sustainable future and driving further progress toward a 50% aerosol recycling rate. We have big plans for the future and, with the support of our partners, we will continue to inspire a national increase in aluminum container recycling rates.”
