La Boîte-Boisson (MPE) and Chaque Canette Compte (ECC France), in partnership with Citeo, organized in Paris the 3rd edition of “Les Canettes d’Or”, the awards ceremony for the best innovations as well as the most sustainable initiatives within the French beverage can market.
The beverage plant of the multinational Crown Holdings in Custines received two awards. Suntory Orangina’s Pulco lemonade received the Best Design Award in the Soft Drinks, Water, Fruit Juice and Energy Drink category for its premium look thanks to its elegant format and matte varnish; a design that also promotes sustainability by featuring the Metal Recycles Forever logo.
The second of the awards went to Suntory’s Orangina, which received the ‘Best Promotional Can’ award for its limited edition le Jeu à Secouer with a fun and engaging game accessible via a QR code.
“Our team attending the event was proud to see two cans produced at our French plant in Custines being awarded among more than 150 candidates for their innovative and attractive designs,” the company said.
They further note that “the ceremony highlighted the vitality of our sector, which accounts for nearly 5 billion cans consumed in France annually, the unlimited marketing possibilities offered by the beverage can and its inherent qualities to thrive in a sustainable and circular economy.”
