The World Steel Association, Worldsteel, has released the list of winners of the 12th Steelie Awards. These prestigious awards recognise member companies for their contribution to the steel industry over a one-year period.
As in previous editions, the Steelies have been awarded in six categories. This year Tata Steel Limited was the winner in the Excellence in Digital Communications category, and also won another category, Excellence in Sustainability, namely Tata Steel Europe – Carbon-Free Logistics.
In the Innovation of the Year section, the award went to POSCO – Giga Steel Automotive Roll Stamping Technologies, which also received the award for its excellence in communication programs, specifically for the POSCO – Park1538 project, an innovative cultural space that showcases cutting-edge technology and the ultimate beauty of steel.
In the category of excellence in life cycle assessment, the award went to JSW Steel Limited for its use of LCA to assess the environmental performance of new product development and promotion. The final category, Excellence in Education and Training, went to HBIS Group Co., Ltd. for its online innovation and training platform.
