THE BRAZILIAN CITY OF SAO PAULO WILL HOST THE NEW EDITION OF LATAMCAN 2022
The Brazilian city of Sao Paulo will host, from 11 to 13 May, a new edition of Latamcan 2022, the most important international fair in Latin America in the metal packaging sector. As in previous editions, the most important international companies in the sector will once again be present.
Latamcan is the main fair in Latin America that serves as a forum for professionals in the sector to share experiences and seek new niches in an increasingly demanding and changing market. This new edition will be held at the Bourbon Atibaia Convention & Spa Resort. The hotel complex is located halfway between Guarulhos airport and the city center, so the trip is much shorter than in the city.
As confirmed by its director, Raul Martinez, “it’s only been 8 months from Latamcan 2021 to this one. But as mentioned by many canmakers from Brazil and South America who were unable to attend Latamcan in Mexico City, the last time they attended was in March 2020. So by May next year, it will be 26 months since they attended a show and they are eager to meet suppliers in person. In addition, many suppliers from Europe, Asia and North America were unable to attend Latamcan 2021 due to travel restrictions, so this provides an opportunity for everyone to reconnect.”
In this new edition, the programme of technical presentations will once again be very varied and will take place in several separate halls. However, Latamcan 2022 will make some changes to the program after receiving feedback and suggestions during the last event in Mexico City. “Basically, we will significantly reduce the number of technical presentations in order to increase exposure time, providing more opportunities for one-on-one interaction and networking,” Martinez explains.
