INX International Ink Co has decided to make changes and promote some of its employees in recognition of their important contribution to the company. Specifically, it concerns the internal promotion of three employees who have recently been promoted to vice-presidential positions. Brian Petzel, Renee Schouten and Heather Seville have a combined 75 years of experience with INX, the third largest ink producer in North America and an industry leader in color management technologies and metal decorating inks.
Brian Petzel has been with INX for the past 31 years. Considered the backbone of the company’s Finance department and a budgeting wizard, he has proven to be particularly adept at managing multiple complex long-term projects. He is now Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis.
“During my initial interview with INX, they were Midland Color at the time, I felt that they really cared about their employees and were like family,” recalls Petzel who adds that “no one event or project stands out during my time here, it’s all about the people I have interacted with over the years. Whether it’s our North American staff, our European partners or our neighbors in southern Brazil it has been a pleasure to work with all of them and the support we have received from Sakata INX.”
Renée Schouten joined INX 21 years ago and has spent most of her time working in and improving the Marketing department. Demonstrating a thorough knowledge of INX’s various product lines, he leads his team in developing creative materials and digital content that appears on the company’s website and at trade shows. The new vice president of marketing was responsible for creating the Coloured by INX can design contest and Color Perfection magazine. She also currently serves as president of the International Metal Packaging and Decorating Association.
“I have been fortunate to work with and learn from a strong leadership team that values the careers of its employees. It is especially rewarding to work together with my colleagues to deliver innovative, safe and sustainable product solutions around the world. I am very excited to continue to contribute to the growth and success of this company,” he emphasizes.
Heather Seville started at INX 22 years ago and is considered the heart of the Human Resources department. The new vice president is known for her effective involvement in almost every process that ensures compliance, consistency and continuity for all potential hiring candidates, as well as employees and managers.
“INX was my first full-time job and I was fortunate to land at a company with such a strong tradition of internal promotion. Over the years I have been given the opportunity to build my career. The best part is watching friends and teammates, some of whom I have worked with for 20 years or more, thrive as they take on new responsibilities,” he concludes.
