Hydro Extrusion Argentina S.A., in Pilar, is the first aluminum extrusion plant in the country to be certified according to the ASI Performance Standard. This standard recognizes the responsible production, sourcing and management of aluminum.
In addition, another added objective of ASI is that the principles of sustainability and human rights are increasingly integrated into supply chains. The new certified plant employs about 105 workers.
General Manager Eduardo Julia emphasizes that “this plant has achieved many things as we have developed and improved over the years, but this achievement is something special for us. It reflects a strong collaboration between our departments and an exceptional group of dedicated, customer-focused employees.”
“This certification demonstrates to our customers in Argentina once again that doing business the right way is what matters to us,” adds Executive Vice President Paul Warton, who heads the multinational’s Extrusions business area.
Hydro Extrusion Argentina, already ISO 14040/14044 certified, operates one of the most technically advanced extrusion presses in Latin America. In addition, serving customers in many industries, the plant is proactive in product innovation under a sustainable manufacturing approach.
