Nestlé Europe will have a new CEO. He is Guillaume Le Cunff, current CEO of Nespresso, who will replace Marco Settembri, who is retiring after 36 years at this major food company.
Le Cunff will join the Nestlé group and will also serve on its executive board after having started working there in 1998, initially in audit and finance-related roles. In 2007, he became part of the Nespresso team and in 2015 he was appointed president of Nespresso United States. After five years, he rose to the position of global CEO of Nespresso.
According to Nestlé CEO Mark Schneider, Guillaume has long experience in business leadership and is a source of inspiration for his team. His skills in branding, innovation, e-commerce and sustainability make him the perfect candidate to take the Europe Zone to the next level. Everyone wishes him success in his new role as a business leader.
The CEO also spoke about Marco Settembri, congratulating him on his work and thanking him for his dedication at Nestlé. On behalf of the board of directors and executive, they wish him every success and satisfaction in his next stage of life.
Since joining Nestlé Italy in 1987, Settembri has held various management positions in different business lines. Under his leadership, Purina PetCare established itself as one of Nestlé’s most important and profitable companies in Europe. In 2017, he was appointed as EMENA (Europe, Middle East and North Africa) Zone Director. With Nestlé’s recent geographic reorganization and the creation of new zones in 2022, he assumed the position of Europe Zone Director.
