Eviosys, a sustainable packaging company, allocated 8 million euros to expand production of two-piece cans at its three existing facilities in Alcochete (Portugal), Murcia and Ribadumia (Spain).
This investment is driven by the growing demand for round and irregular two-piece and EOE aluminum and steel cans in the fish, meat and pet food markets. Fish alone has seen a 3.8% increase by 2022. For this reason, it is necessary to have a local, reliable and sustainable manufacturer to meet this growing demand.
In addition, Eviosys works closely with its Spanish and Portuguese partners to keep up with changing consumer preferences. As a leader in its industry, it has taken proactive steps to prepare for these disruptions by offering a wide range of packaging services to companies in the region to meet public expectations.
Tomas Lopez, CEO of Eviosys, said: “Our investment in the region shows our commitment to our core principle of being a global leader and local partner. In 2023 and beyond, we will continue to grow with our partners in the region, supporting them in what is a dynamic and fast-moving market, ensuring they can deliver for their customers.”
In order to achieve higher levels of productivity, Eviosys has decided to focus its investments on personalized printing and advanced logistics. This will enable customers to significantly increase their ability to produce and deliver their products to meet demand.
As Eviosys continues to grow in 2023, this investment reinforces its leadership in the Iberian Peninsula. The expanded capacity will allow Eviosys to continue to provide the best level of service to local customers.
