The famous water brand Evian has decided to go for metal containers and has just launched its first canned sparkling water. The brand’s new metallic sparkling water container is now available from January 11 in Tesco stores in the UK in the format of 330 ml aluminum cans and one-liter PET plastic bottles.
For Evian Vice President of Marketing Shweta Harit: “Evian Sparkling represents new possibilities for the brand as we reinvent our single-origin water in a new and exciting product.” He adds, “This new product contains the perfect level of sparkle with its fine bubbles that create a subtle flavor and smooth intensity. Available for the first time in recyclable aluminum cans, this latest innovation demonstrates our pioneering spirit”.
Already last year, the brand launched a new water ‘bubble’ solution for the home, thus significantly reducing the use of plastic containers. This new launch follows a solid year for the company, which added 19 million euros in sales as blocking restrictions were relaxed and the mobile market returned. The company also obtained global carbon neutral certification in the spring of 2020 and achieved its B Corp status certification in 2021.
