As various studies have shown, consumers are increasingly opting for more sustainable and environmentally friendly packaging. The cosmetics industry knows this, and recent moves in this direction are a case in point: Noniko, a California-based deodorant brand, recently debuted refillable stainless steel containers with the goal of going plastic-free later this year. Now, it’s the turn of Grove Collaborative, a brand from San Francisco (USA), who have announced the newest product from their own plastic-free brand, Peach. The new line of Peach deodorants comes in refillable cylindrical aluminum tubes.

“The launch is the result of our continued focus on sustainable product innovation as we develop new formats that are planet-friendly and built on input from our community,” said Stuart Landesberg, co-founder and CEO of Grove Collaborative. “The Peach line of lotions and deodorants builds on Grove’s leadership in sustainable packaging and is the industry’s 100% plastic-free deodorant and body care system,” she concluded on the occasion of Peach’s launch.

The Peach model has consumers purchase a reusable case and, as needed, replace the actual product, the deodorant.
