It is one of the most important beauty brands worldwide. In its bid to eliminate plastic waste by offering simple, eco-friendly solutions, Dove has just launched its new reusable bottles and Bath Gel concentrates, an easy-to-use system designed to provide the same Dove care your skin deserves, but with 50% less plastic, after refills.

Richard Slater, R&D director at Unilever details that “our teams have developed reusable bottles and refills of Dove shower gel: a new way to care for skin and care for the planet. There is real science behind this. Eliminating water from our products also means less space, less weight and fewer trucks on the road, so carbon emissions are also reduced. Another step towards our ambitious goals of tackling plastic waste.”

The reusable bottles come in infinitely recyclable aluminum, and can be used for life. The concentrates, also packaged in 100% recyclable and recycled plastic bottles, are available in Daily Moisture, Cucumber and Shea Butter & Warm Vanilla. Compared to a standard Dove Body Wash bottle, it uses 50% less plastic, requires 80% less water in each refill and produces 21% less GHG emissions in manufacturing over the course of a year.
