Thanks to a joint initiative between Kroenke Sports & Entertainment and its partners, the ambitious goal of recycling three million aluminum cups, cans and bottles at the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado, this season was achieved.
According to the organizers, this figure is equivalent to the length of the entire Front Range of the Rocky Mountains and the weight of a fully loaded Boeing 737 aircraft.
The achievement was possible thanks to the active participation of Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche and Colorado Mammoth fans, as well as the concert-going public, who collaborated with their recycling habits throughout the season.
Although the regular season is coming to an end, organizers have called for continued promotion of recycling and sustainable choices throughout the year.
