The Galician company Conservas Mariscadora (Costas y Miñán, SL), based in the Pontevedra town of Canvados, is celebrating. Last year, it recorded a 24% growth in sales, a record figure in its half-century of history.

Oscar Villanueva Anta, CEO of the cannery confirms the excellent results of last year and adds that “we are already looking forward to 2022 to continue offering the artisanal and quality canned food that has always characterized us”. A clear example of the fact that Spain is one of the countries with the greatest canning tradition and the place where some of the first canneries in the world were founded.

“Every day we can our know-how, thanks to the expert hands of our women, who have been making our products by hand since 1966,” adds Villanueva.
Conservas Mariscadora, little by little, “is consolidating itself as a leader in a unique way of working, offering a quality product, very carefully, and with characteristics that differentiate it from other canned products on the market”.

For its manager, one of the secrets of this growth is based on the constant search for quality raw materials, as well as having an involved, committed and value-generating team. “These are the central axes that we must continue to take care of. This 2022 will bring some novelty that we will be showing and will serve to consolidate the enormous acceptance of the new references launched in 2021,” concludes Villanueva.
