The Centro Cultural do Alumínio (CCAL) announced the launch of the first edition  of the National Gastronomy Contest Feeding our Culture, an event that aims to celebrate the diversity of Brazilian cuisine.

The initiative was promoted by CCAL in partnership with the Ministry of Culture, Quattro Projetos and the Quattro Cultural Institute, the contest has the support and seal of the Brazilian Aluminum Association (ABAL), as well as the sponsorship of companies in the sector, such as Albras, Alcoa, CBA, Hydro and Novelis.

“When we seek to portray in the cultural contest typical dishes from each Brazilian region, we are disseminating the traditions and customs of this people, and this is the dissemination of culture. All the recipes, each with its own elaboration, are full of history and tradition,” said Flávio Enninger, director of Quattro Projetos.

In addition to promoting Brazilian gastronomic diversity, the event aims to highlight the significant contribution of Pará to the country’s culinary culture. For this reason, there will be a special category to reward those who highlight the richness and creativity present in their cuisine. Special emphasis will be placed on traditional ingredients from this region, such as açaí, cocoa, cassava, tucupi and Brazil nuts, among others.

Registration for Alimentar Nuestra Cultura is open until August 31. To participate in the contest, all you have to do is access the official contest website and register by following the guidelines in the rules.

To compete, it is essential to use utensils and aluminum containers during preparation, as well as to photograph the step-by-step preparation and the ingredients selected for the recipe. Each participant has the opportunity to submit up to two recipes to be evaluated in the competition.
