The Polish multinational Canpack will set up a plant in the Malambo Atlántico Industrial Park (Colombia), with an investment of $140 million, which will generate 150 direct jobs and strengthen the local industry. The company will begin earthmoving and construction of the plant in the first half of 2026, with equipment assembly in October and operation scheduled for the first quarter of 2027, reaching an annual production of around 1 billion cans.

The governor of Atlántico, Eduardo Verano de la Rosa, highlighted that the arrival of Canpack reflects international confidence in the region and the work of ProBarranquilla in promoting investments. For his part, Camilo Pérez, country manager of Canpack in Colombia, pointed out that the plant will not only serve the national market, but will also allow it to expand to Central America and the Caribbean. In addition, it will generate productive chains that will benefit local suppliers and reinforce technology transfer.
