CANPACK has announced its joint sponsorship of a prominent exhibition dedicated to the renowned Polish artist Magdalena Abakanowicz (1930–2017), which is being held in the North Brabant region.
The exhibition will be open from April 18 to August 24, 2025, and will be spread across three venues: the Provinciehuis in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, where her largest monumental work is displayed; the Noordbrabants Museum; and the TextielMuseum in Tilburg.
Magdalena Abakanowicz is considered a pioneer of textile art and one of the most influential figures in 20th-century art. She was a forerunner of installation art and revolutionized the understanding of textiles, transforming them into organic sculptures with strong symbolic and emotional charge.
“The CANPACK vice president assures that the brand shares the Polish origins of the artist, reason enough to support this cultural initiative, aligned with our commitment to social responsibility,” stated Małgorzata Podrecka, vice president of CANPACK.
The exhibition also seeks to connect with the community through educational programs and collaborative activities. A commemorative can, specially designed for this occasion, features a black and white portrait of Abakanowicz alongside one of her works, taken by the renowned Polish photographer Marek Holzman.
