Conserva’ is the new exhibition that was recently launched at the Afundacion theater in Vigo. The exhibition, the work of the artist Jorge Perianes, will be open until January 7. The multidisciplinary exhibition proposal articulated around Perianes’ installation created expressly for this occasion is part of the ‘Culture for Food’ program, which celebrates its first anniversary with a large installation and unpublished sketches by the artist.

This is the materialization of the ‘Culture for Food’ program that the social work began to develop about a year ago and has managed to deliver six tons of food to food banks in Galicia.

The exhibition, in which Fesbal and Anfaco-Cecopesca collaborate, consists of a large main piece in which the artist again shows the symmetry, vertically, of what could be a canning production line with long pillars or columns of cans that link the past and the future of the industry.

In order to enrich the exhibition, Anfaco-Cecopesca provided graphic and audiovisual archival material on the history of the canning industry in Galicia, a key area for the country’s socioeconomic development, with women playing an almost exclusive role in its production chains.
