Canpack, a European can manufacturer based in Poland, has announced plans to build a state-of-the-art aluminium beverage can plant in Muncie, USA, with an initial investment of $380 million. This is Canpack’s second facility in the North American country.

Canpack is part of Giorgi Global Holdings Inc. a global manufacturer of aluminum beverage cans and packaging solutions for the food industry. It began construction of its first U.S.-based operation a year ago in Pennsylvania, PA.

As part of its overall expansion in the North American country, the European manufacturer will further increase its investment in Olyphant (PA) by $10 million to increase its final manufacturing capacity.

“We are proud to bring to Muncie, Indiana, a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility that produces aluminum cans, an infinitely recyclable and sustainable product,” said Roberto Villaquiran, CEO of Canpack. “We look forward to becoming an integral part of the Muncie community and contributing to the extraordinary business environment that exists in Indiana.”

Canpack is in 28 countries in Europe, South America, India, the Middle East, Africa, and the United States.
