The Asturian town of Candás will host from 28 to 31 October a new edition of the gourmet canning show ‘Entrelatas’, which will take place in the old factory of Ortiz.

Since 1915, almost a dozen canning and salting factories had been operating in Candás, of which there are none left. One more year, this fair wants to pay tribute to the canning tradition of the town and continue to be a benchmark for sales of canned food in the north of the country.

Among the scheduled events include the gastronomic days ‘Candás te da la lata’, in which interested restaurants will have the opportunity to offer the public unpublished skewers inspired by the world of canned food.

All the participating establishments will have to present their pinchos in a tin at a unified popular price and a jury will decide the winning establishment. Those interested will have until October 5 to register.

Also, the area of Tourism has organized a master class by the chef Marcos Moran (Casa Gerardo), in which the chef will offer different ideas and suggestions to establishments interested in participating in the contest.
