Art using aluminum capsules. This is the proposal launched by Ateliê Trionha in Bulgaria to raise public awareness of the importance of packaging recycling. Focusing on a commitment to sustainability, Ateliê Trionha developed an art installation called ‘Doing Is Everything’ with used Nespresso aluminum coffee capsules. In the first exhibition, the work was placed in the Paradise Center shopping mall in Bulgaria.

The installation consists of a panel with two sides measuring 2 m high and 1.5 m wide. On one side, 600 magnetic aluminum capsules with live plants, which the public can take and replant, were applied. On the other hand, the space is dedicated to the life cycle of packaging and the recycling program.

According to the company, the action represents the importance of small steps in everyday life and seeks to involve every visitor to become a driver of positive change. The brand currently uses 80% recycled aluminum in the production of new capsules.

In Brazil, these containers are disposed of by consumers at more than 200 collection points and sent to Nespresso’s recycling center, located in Osasco, São Paulo Metropolitan Region. The company directs more than R$ 5 million per year in actions related to the reuse of materials.
